How your data is handled: visits, downloads and prompts

This website

This website is made of static pages served through a hosting provider and a content delivery network. Those systems process IP addresses and access logs for each visit, as web servers usually do. A visit counter from statinside.com records page visits.

Pressing the download button records the time, your IP address, your browser user agent and the referral source, if there is one. The record is used to count downloads. After it is written, the button redirects you to the installer. Nothing else is collected by the button.

No account is needed to read these pages or to download the setup program. This section describes what the pages record today, and the same facts appear in the FAQ and on the download page.

The Sigmora app

Sigmora runs on your PC and sends no telemetry. Your chats, working folders and API keys are stored on the PC. What a model reads is a different matter: prompts, including the text of files the agent reads, are sent to the model endpoint you pick.

Secrets in tool output are redacted before the output reaches the model. Prompts go only to the endpoint you choose, and with a local model nothing leaves the machine. With a cloud model, the provider receives what is sent to it, and its own privacy terms apply to that data.

The built-in model is ready to use without your own endpoint. Whichever model you pick, you decide which folder the chat works in, which approval mode is on and which files you ask the agent to read. Keep secrets and personal data out of files you do not want a model to read.

Optional features that use the network

Web search and update checks need an outbound network connection. Web search can optionally run over an anonymizing network. The query you type goes to the search service you use, so avoid private details in search prompts.

The agent can also be controlled from a phone browser. This feature uses one outbound connection from your PC, and it can be switched off. Leave it off if you do not need it.

Updates are published automatically, and the app shows an Update button when a new version is ready. The installer build enables automatic updates. Checking for an update is a network request, so it needs a connection, while the installed app itself does not need an account.

Your choices

You choose between Auto-run, Ask first and Plan only. Auto-run acts at once. Ask first pauses before actions that change something and shows the diff to accept. Plan only writes a plan and runs nothing at all, so no command and no file change happens.

You can verify the installer before running it: use the Windows command certutil -hashfile on the downloaded file with SHA256 and compare the result with the published manifest. The installer is not code-signed yet, so SmartScreen may warn; run it only after the checksum matches.

You also choose the model, the working folder and the environment where commands run: local Windows, WSL or SSH to a server you own. Use Sigmora only with code, data and computers you own or are allowed to use. Review each diff and test the result yourself.

Contact

The Send feedback button inside the app is the way to report a problem, an idea or a privacy question. Nobody needs an account to use it. Describe what you did and what the card showed, and leave secrets and private data out of the message.

Questions about data handling can go through the same button. Please name the page or the setting you mean, so the question is clear.

Sigmora is an independent Windows app and is not affiliated with any machine-learning framework, hardware maker or cloud provider. Use it only with code, data and computers you own or are allowed to use.
